In 1977 classification 87 was divided into a number of classifications, or which 196 was one. The violations of 18 USC 1343 documented in this classification involves microwave transmissions, offshore banking establishments, telegrams sent for the purpose of advising fraud victims of the interruption of a scheme in anticipation of investigation, and alleged used of telephone credit cards and "black boxes."
